Technology & Service Solutions / Rotor, Tower & Control / Control Engineering / Control Platforms Vestas Technology & Service Solutions is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved and tested. As a part of Vestas Technology & Service Solutions, the Control Platforms department is responsible for designing and developing generic hardware control platforms, with a well-integrated and pre-qualified operation system in place. The department consists of highly skilled and experienced engineers and assumes full accountability of all aspects of the control platform delivered to the products. Responsibilities: As a mechatronic engineer, your focus will be 3D and 2D design work. To provide the optimal design, you need to have a large network across the organization, from parts suppliers and system specialist to your colleagues who produce and service our turbines. With business units spread all over the world, it is essential that you know when and how to involve your stakeholders. Together with your colleagues you will be responsible for: Mechanical design from idea to concept and serial production Design documentation such as tolerance calculation and mechanical simulations Define GPS/GD&T on drawings reflecting manufacturing standards Develop 3D CAD design/models and 2D drawings, based on international standards and design specifications Verification and testing of all mechanical parts according to environmental requirements Cooperation with sourcing, production, and suppliers to ensure production-optimized design Qualifications: You have a relevant Master's or Bachelor's engineering degree, ideally combined with: Experience with mechatronics design for harsh environments Knowledge within designing encapsulation for electronics Experience in environment test (corrosion, vibration, humidity and EMC) 3D CAD design knowledge in Pro–E GPS/GD&T knowledge and experience Material experience with molded plastic, die cast aluminum and sheet metal Knowledge within EMC and heat dissipation Experience with tolerance chain calculations and simulations/FEA analyses Competencies: To be successful in the position we expect that You are pro-active, result oriented and have a strong sense of responsibility You are able to meet your deadlines with the right quality You have a creative approach to new challenges You succeed as part of a team and it comes naturally to you to collaborate and share knowledge You have good communication skills and are fluent in English (speaking and writing) Last, but not least, you must be able to work within an international team What we offer: We offer an opportunity to be part of a world-class team in an exciting business with a very comprehensive product range, and where you will be involved in the design and development of new products and product upgrades.
