We Offer A unique opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Health Safety and Environment (HSE) specialist to join our Tyra Asset in Esbjerg and provide invaluable support to both onshore and offshore teams. Here, you will become part of a professional work environment where safety and change readiness are cornerstones. As such, you will apply your expertise to help us improve our processes and standards as you take on a wide range of exciting and challenging projects. This is an independent role, and you need to be able to take the lead and drive ongoing occupational health and safety improvement projects. Therefore, you will play a key role in sustaining our progress and success as you provide proactive operational HSE support to onshore and offshore teams while ensuring best practice sharing and alignment across disciplines Key Responsibilities As Operational Safety Advisor, you do not wait for incidents to occur. We need you to proactively drive improvement initiatives and support your colleagues to help ensure an incident free work environment. We look to you to make sure that process safety remain the number one issue on our agenda, and you coordinate our efforts with onshore and offshore personnel as you ensure project progress. Some of your key tasks will include to: • Drive ongoing and future occupational health and safety improvement projects • Conduct and participate in audits and inspections and provide operational HSE support • Support our safety step change program • Help drive a strong reporting culture, focus on new learnings and best practice sharing • Make sure that the offshore safety organisations perform according to procedures and regulations • Follow up on incidents and audit reports to ensure our continuous improvement Who we are looking for In this position, it is important that you possess a strong personal drive and are comfortable taking charge as you proactively work to prevent incidents. Therefore, you enjoy applying your expertise as well as collaborating with other teams to ensure that safety is always our top priority. At the same time, you take a systematic and structured approach to problem solving as you make sure that all safety, economical and commercial aspects have been considered before any decision is made. This is important as we need you to oversee both the daily execution as well as the global optimisation of our activities. More specifically, you: • Understand that the key to your success in this position is your strong operational and process safety experience from oil/gas rigs • Have a relevant educational background combined with 3 years of general HSE experience • Are up-to-date on process safety knowledge • Ensure that all activities are performed in a cost-effective manner • Speak and write English at a high level (Danish is a plus but not a requirement) Last application date: 19 July 2016.
