Our ambition is to develop breakthrough products based on orally available versions of insulin and GLP-1. As Senior Process Scientist you will be a key player bringing your skills and enthusiasm into formulation and process development of solid dosage forms. About the department We are 31 colleagues, organised in two teams, and are responsible for development and manufacturing of oral protein products for preclinical and clinical trials. The department covers a broad and exciting range of process technologies for solid dosage forms, technical support, and project management and execution related to qualification of equipment, utilities and facility. The Job Overall you will play a key role in expanding our competency base within the Solid Dosage Form process technology area. This will involve providing scientific knowledge for maintaining and building the competencies and technology necessary to go from lab-scale phase I to pilot scale phase II within Solid Dosage Forms. You will be responsible for assuring the timely production of our oral portfolio supporting clinical trials and project timelines. Your goal will be to move Novo Nordisk quickly into the next step of clinical trials with our oral protein formulation concepts. With your scientific and technical contributions, you will ensure a wide interdisciplinary understanding of the production process and equipment, and thereby support decision-making within this area. The role of production and manufacturing responsible for our Pilot Plant facility for the manufacture of tablet products, preparation of Master Batch Records, development of new concepts and strategies for processes e.g. Cleaning concept, Documentation, flow, Production planning and technology transfer. Provide, as a team member, technical support to manufacturing and the daily production team. Review and produce production related documentation, support the on-going optimisation of the manufacturing process (Lean and Six Sigma), evaluate existing processes to identify areas for improvement, and of utmost importance you will demonstrate and convey a strong compliance and GMP mind-set/understanding. With your experience from the pharmaceutical industry, you represent the department in multi-disciplinary project groups, in which you work closely with experts from a wide range of areas. In addition, you will also coordinate project activities in close collaboration with technicians, technical coordinators and line management Qualifications Ideally, you have a PhD in Pharmacy, Engineering, Chemistry or a related field of study and preferable 2 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry. Alternatively, you have a Master’s degree and preferable 5 years of experience within Solid Dosage Forms formulation, process optimisation, specific processes such as mixing, granulation, compression, coating and capsulation as well as pharmaceutical-technical analyses.
