Job Description

Do you want to have the responsibility for leading the production and the supply chain management with focus on factory performance? Do you want to ensure commitment, engagement and delivery on all targets? Do you have strong operational excellence background? Then you might be our new Production Manager Machining within Danfoss Work Function in Nordborg, Denmark.
 
As our new Production Manager Machining, you will manage our machining operations and be site responsible for heat-treatment with four4 direct supervisors and approx. three3-digitthree digit blue collars to produce highly sophisticated hydraulic components.

You will work with cross-functional teams and be the front-runner to promote a strong cooperation. Both customers and other stakeholders will expect that you involve your production to persistently drive continuous improvements with focus on safety, quality (according to TS 16949/IATF, ISO 9001 + 14001 – being the overall responsible for quality), delivery, productivity and keeping the inventory levels on budget. We expect that you have proven LEAN experience to support these key tasks and automotive experience will be a plus. You will drive the strategic growth going forward, and you have the right approach to empower your direct and indirect reports to succeed. You are experienced in various production programs, setting up roadmaps, working in a matrix organization with profound technical skills.

The position could be a career opportunity for you, if you have minimum five years of experience from a similar role, preferably in a large industrial production. Your main responsibility will be to:

• Lead operational excellence with utilization of latest manufacturing technology
• Secure continuously development of a highly effective and engaged team that deliver exceptional results
• Provide technical leadership and direction to fully optimize manufacturing processes
• Run and monitor the production process with your strong planning and organization skills
• Act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems

We are looking for a leader with extensive leadership skills
You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar and/or have relevant experience within the area. You are an excellent leader, being ambitious and passionate about achieving results and make brave decisions. You have a pragmatic understanding of the environment in a global factory, and your ability to communicate in an influencing way will ensure that you are able to navigate within a global matrix organization and build strong relations.
