Are you ready for a job where you are both the technical specialist and the procurement representative in R&D and cost down projects? At Danfoss Residential Heating (RH) we offer you a job where you will be able to put all your technical skills and procurement expertise into play and get the chance to leave your mark on a project. You will be part of RH Procurement and have 25 colleagues globally. We are working with a global supplier base together with the Supply Chain, Engineering and Danfoss Category Management. The department is located in both Vejle and Bedford, which means that it is possible for you to decide one of the locations as your base. You should also anticipate 40 travel days per year. Manage procurement activities Your main objective is to drive and coordinate procurement activities within the R&D- and execute Cost Down projects ensuring delivery on all milestones. At the same time, you challenge the choices of design and technology in the projects securing compliance with requirements for quality, delivery and cost. Another important aspect of the job is to build strong relationships and cooperate with many different stakeholders across the organisation. Among your key tasks are to: •Drive procurement tasks and develop procurement recommendations •Identify, visualise and mitigate sourcing risks •Identify and involve future suppliers early on in the projects •Ensure a robust supply chain by challenging specifications, choice of material and process technology •Run supplier benchmarking •Secure and strengthen compliance with Danfoss procurement tools, processes, procedures and standards You can look forward to a job that brings you a wide and varied range of contacts, including external vendors, R&D, RH global Procurement, Danfoss Category Management, Quality and other Supply Chain functions. Procurement expert with strong technical skills You have a strong technical background in electronics/EMS, e.g. an engineering degree, and experience with purchase and vendor management from one or more companies. You are a strong electronics/EMS project manager with years of procurement experience in strategic procurement, negotiations and vendor management. Your proactive, committed and supportive approach towards a given task ensures optimal cooperation with all stakeholders. Fluency in English is a must and SAP experience an advantage.
