Roku’s new Denmark office is focused on R&D around the company’s whole home licensing program which enables OEM brands to license Roku Connect software to enable AV devices to connect into the Roku ecosystem. We are looking to grow our newly acquired team significantly over the next year, to meet with the high demand of exciting new projects.

The Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified and versatile software quality assurance manager to lead the test planning and execution of a new team focused on audio quality and wireless streaming. You will represent QA concerns in meetings with cross-functional project team members and provide valuable end-user feedback to improve the customer experience. You will also be intimately involved in testing the key risk areas and understanding the quality of a release from a hands-on perspective. This position requires good understanding of the software lifecycle, experience with a variety of testing techniques, and strong written and organizational skills. Familiarity with audio concepts, such as latency, frequency response, and equalizers will be invaluable. The QA Manager will ensure an effective and organized test process that releases the highest quality software possible while bringing projects to market on time.

  • Manage a small team of testers to test wireless streaming KPI’s and audio quality
  • Develop test plans where needed and track all test results
  • Present status from QA team members and your own hands-on testing experience
  • Responsible for QA relevant project milestones along with QA resource allocation
  • Hire, train and manage QA Testers

Experience/Qualifications

  • 4+ years building and leading quality assurance teams
  • Audio products and Speaker development
  • Wireless Streaming – WiFi/Bluetooth
  • 7+ years of experience writing and executing QA test plans in the software or consumer electronics industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with audio quality metrics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with network topologies and wireless streaming.
  • Experience generating and presenting quantitative reports at project status meetings
  • Experience with both black box testing and QA automation on embedded platforms
  • Willingness to execute test procedures
  • Ability to meet QA cycle goals and continually enhance the QA process to ensure superior quality
  • Strong ability to represent Roku externally and resolve difficult issues with our partners in a productive and friendly manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of and enthusiasm for consumer products
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
