We are looking for an experienced biochemist for a 14-months position at the Nanoprobes group, at the department of Micro- and Nanotechnology. A qualified applicant has ideally previous experience in wet biochemistry, antibody-nanoparticle conjugation, assay development and surface chemistry. The successful applicant will work in close connection with several projects at the Nanoprobes group, providing biochemistry development support to a variety of biosensor R&D projects. Responsibilities and tasks The ideal candidate might have previous experience and/or strong interest in: •Preparation of immune-reagents and buffers •Purification of immune-reagents using liquid chromatography •Bio-conjugation on magnetic nano particles •Development and validation of agglutination based assays, including reagent stability and assay robustness. •Freeze drying, convective drying of immune-reagents. •Experimental planning, data processing using Matlab, writing reports •Investigation and optimization of surface chemistry for immuno conjugated nano particles •Spectrophotometric measurements •Manual ELISA execution •Establish manufacturing processes, SOP’s and material/product specifications related to immune-reagents and biochemistry •Work according to CLSI guidelines for assay verification/validation Qualifications Candidates should have a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
