DTU, Department of Mechanical Engineering, the section for Manufacturing Engineering has a vacant position as research scientist in the field of numerical modelling of fluid flow in manufacturing processes. The position is to be filled as soon as possible. Responsibilities and tasks The applicant should in general have a strong competence in numerical heat and mass transfer applied to manufacturing processes. Furthermore, the candidate should have demonstrated the ability to develop and maintain academic collaboration with external partners. Qualifications Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent. Furthermore, the candidates must have: •Knowledge of coupled heat and mass transfer applied to local climate conditions in enclosures •Knowledge of flow in porous media •General knowledge of manufacturing technology •Experience in collaboration with external partners form both academia as well as indsutry Assessment In the assessment of the candidates consideration will be given to •scientific production and research potential at international level •innovative skills and the ability to generate new ideas •the ability to communicate at all levels such as the provision of scientific advice to public sector authorities •an all-round experience basis, preferably including international experience •the ability to contribute to development of the department’s internal and external cooperation We offer We offer an interesting and challenging job in an international environment focusing on education, research, public-sector consultancy and innovation, which contribute to enhancing the economy and improving social welfare.
