Then take a closer look at this new opening in our highly skilled SAP Technology team Global IT, SAP Technology The SAP Technology department in Vestas Global IT supports and engages with the functional departments to ensure that business services and related solutions are appropriately designed, developed and optimized across their lifecycle and that the IT offerings are safeguarded. When development is handled by externals we interact with these external partners on development activities and related governance to ensure quality in the delivery. We ensure continuous improvement and maximized utilization of applications in order to optimize value and reduce risk. Responsibilities and tasks Your tasks and responsibilities will be: To ensure that the Custom Development in SAP NetWeaver continuously meets business requirements by proactively and reactively design, develop, test, and deploy minor enhancements. Efficient and cost effective design and develop SAP NetWeaver Applications/services by means of in-house maintained capabilities in combination with externally sourced capacity. Provide a consistent body of knowledge for evaluations of new opportunities, and accumulated knowledge of SAP NetWeaver development designs by: Governing all development and support activities to protect the integrity of the running solutions and eliminate conflicts between change orders and projects in the area Ensuring optimal utilization of best practice and optimization of existing applications. Facilitate collaboration between IT and external consultants/vendor in order to maximize use of system capabilities and internal knowledge upgrade. Ensuring consistency and reuse of solutions by utilizing global standards and ensuring existence and quality of documentation. Communicating with Vestas business stakeholders to ensure successful execution of new projects and changes to existing development. Driving down total cost of ownership on SAP NetWeaver Custom development. Contribute to global knowledge sharing activities within functional area Deliver consultancy services to the business. Keeping up to date with technology within functional area Qualifications The ideal qualified candidate has the following experience and qualifications: 5-10 years’ experience from SAP NetWeaver ABAP development A relevant degree in Technology, Engineering or Business Administration Knowledge about SAP application development Broad knowledge on SAP systems and application components Competencies Good business understanding and knowledge Fluent in English both orally and written Moreover, your personality is of outmost importance.
