Are you an experienced Hardware development engineer who can contribute to a team with the aim of qualifying and developing SCADA hardware for Wind Power Plant control systems? Are you attracted by working and developing your skills in an international environment? Then you may be the person we are looking for to join the Plant Power System department. Engineer - Plant Control Systems The SCADA hardware team is a part of Plant Power Systems which again is a part of Plant Solutions. Plant Solutions is responsible for developing products and services which enable Vestas to sell, install and service Wind Power Plants. The products and services from Plant Solutions including SCADA hardware are transforming a group of Wind Turbines into a Wind Power Plant. The SCADA hardware team is responsible for development, maintenance and support to new and existing SCADA hardware products. The SCADA products supports real time control of Wind Power Plants to ensure electrical grid integration of the Vestas Wind Turbine portfolio and data acquisition from Wind Power Plants. Responsibilities You will be working with all or a subset of these challenges: Responsibility for next generation SCADA products Design and certification of various standards like UL, IEC and other safety regulative Qualification of suppliers Product lifecycle management Technical Purchase Specifications Interface to Vestas production facility Supporting development of Hardware-In-the-Loop test equipment Build communication interfaces to Vestas Wind turbines and third party equipment like STATCOMs, SVCs, Capacitors etc. Release- and change management Design and release for production and service Drawings and bill of material Writing and reviewing of Requirement Specifications, Design Descriptions, Verification Procedures and –Reports Qualifications Software Engineer or similar (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) You are a Hardware Development Engineer with at least 5 years' experience with real time control and SCADA hardware development Competencies You have the desire and the ability to understand and maintain overview of a wide range of advanced technical domains You are familiar with the main industrial standards and may be member of working groups in this domain (UL, IEC, CCC or similar) Experience from control systems within the power plant or power transmission industries would be advantageous You may have a certificate in design for Sig Sigma Knowledge of network, communication and fieldbuses Experience with AutoCAD or similar hardware design tool would be an advantage Excellent communication skills in English orally and written On the personal level we expect that: You are customer-oriented and have the ability to understand the complete business value chain seen from a customer perspective You have a high level of drive and you aim at constant challenges while maintaining a high and effective profile You are independent and structured, and you have a positive influence of your colleagues due to your infectious spirit You find it challenging and interesting to work with other people in a large organization and are capable of building up an intensive network across cultures and time zones within Vestas What we offer This position offers excellent opportunities for cross disciplinary and personal development by working in a large global organization having highly specialized and professional colleagues.
