Would you like to develop and utilize your skills within a Global Sourcing department? Do you have a strong analytical skills and business acumen within heavy equipment sourcing? We would like to hear from you Strategic Purchaser Manufacturing and Global Sourcing / Converters & Controls In Global Sourcing we lead and co-ordinate the Strategic Sourcing in cross-functional Category Teams consisting of key stakeholders from Group Quality, Product Engineering, Technology & Service Solutions, and Factory Logistics. The department’s key responsibilities are to Develop, communicate and implement global Category Strategies and Plans Supplier selection and development Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers Support new product development and drive cost out activities targeting BOM and value chain cost reductions Improve agility of supply chain to support cash flow, Pull Agreements and general flexibility With an aggregate spend of 180m€ Converters & Controls has a sizeable impact on our operation cost and through participation in key programs such as Accelerated Earnings and new product development we are looking to increase the significance of our contribution to the company's profit margin by extending our cost out pipeline and ensuring swift executing of existing projects . Responsibilities: As a Strategic Purchaser you will play a key role in supporting the Category Manager in both the implementation of strategic initiatives and taking care of the on-going business. Your primary tasks will be to: Support the development and implementation of Category Strategy and Plans Lead supplier search and qualification Drive RFIs and RFQ processes toward the supply market Negotiate supplier agreements (Purchase Agreements, NDA’s, Logistics and Price agreements) Conduct annual price negotiations with suppliers Follow up on supplier plans, activities and performance Look after Global Sourcing's interests and ensure a holistic approach to new product development projects Build and execute pipeline of cost out ideas in cooperation with the category teams Qualifications: You have a relevant educational background – for example Business Administration, Economics or Commerce or similar on Bachelor or Master level. We expect that you possess a high level of theoretical understanding in relevant areas e.g. Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relationship Management and 1-5 years of relevant work experience from a purchasing or sales environment. Competencies: We expect you to be team player with highly developed communication and collaboration skills as you will have a high level of co-operation both internally and externally and a wide range of contacts on different organizational levels Fluent in business English – both in writing and spoken An experienced IT user, especially in Excel & Power Point (Microsoft Office), and preferably also different ERP systems Analytically strong and good at working in a structured manner as you are going to manage multiple tasks in a complex environment. Change-oriented and adaptive to organizational developments on corporate and departmental level Ideally, you have experience in working with cost modelling and applying this practically in both negotiation and work shop settings as a mean to optimize pricing and drive out cost in cooperation with suppliers.
