Vestas Manufacturing A/S is an independent corporate business unit within Vestas Wind Systems A/S. The Blades division within Vestas Manufacturing is responsible for the global production of wind turbine blades and have factories located in Europe, Asia and North America. Process Engineer – Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Manufacturing, Lem, Denmark We are looking to hire a new member for our high performance Engineer department at the Lem Blades Factory. Lem Blades factory is one of the worlds leading blades production facilities, so we need the best of the best on our team. As a member of the engineer team you will help ensure that we stay in front. You will have the process responsibility of a large production area. This includes process analyses, troubleshooting, optimizing, implementation, validation of production basic i.e. processes and production documentation. Responsibilities: Process lead for a large specific process area Initiate and drive product and process optimization in the production area. Process analyses Participate and help drive cross functional production support teams covering the whole value chain Networking with Technical Support teams in other blade factories and Vestas Development departments. Participate or drive optimization events and quality audits in the factory. Train the best blade builders in the world Improve existing equipment To take us to the next level. Qualifications: You have a degree in process, chemical, composite engineering or similar education. You have at least 2 years of work experience within your key competence area. Have experience from manufacturing or process industry Experience with running optimization projects Have knowledge within composite manufacturing e.g. infusion technology, coating and spray painting Have experience in using lean tools in optimization of production processes. Used to support production sites Competencies: It is important that you are able to handle volume and experimental production at the same time. You are self-driven and you can independently take the responsibility for the area You have an analytical mind-set You are able to sell you message and get people to follow you Are customer-oriented, service minded and quality focused Are intuitive and able to challenge the existing processes but you are also persistent whereby you carry your task through to the end You have good communication skills in both oral and written English Additional information: Your primary work location will be Lem in Denmark.
