For our Strategic Procurement Department in Service Wind Power we are looking for an intern to support us in the implementation of a new commodity and sourcing strategy. The Strategic Procurement department (SPR), is responsible for negotiating spare parts prices and refurbishment contracts for all materials delivered globally on Siemens wind turbines. As an intern you will be responsible for a major project task relating to the implementation of a new commodity strategy. This includes: Handling vendor consolidation/declaration, EUR1 certificates and Conformity Doc´s Optimization of existing vendor network, Maintaining and updating materials and suppliers Help in providing figures for price negotiation as well as subsequent price maintenance and updates Cost reduction e.g. by changing product deliveries from one supplier to another, still fulfilling the requirement to follow Form, Fit and Function. What do I need to qualify for this job? You are in the final phase of your Bachelor studies or an enrolled Master student of Business Sciences, Economics, Industrial Engineering or the like. In addition you may have already gained first work experience within Procurement, Logistic or Manufacturing. You are an advanced user of MS Office (especially Excel) As a person you are outgoing, flexible and a quick learner. You have a structured and organized approach to your tasks and like to work in a team. Furthermore you are comfortable with being given a great responsibility from day one and communication with colleagues and collaborators on a global scale. In relation to this it is essential that you possess excellent English skills, both orally and in writing. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
