We are looking for a Senior BI Developer with experience in building Data Warehouse and reporting solutions in the financial industry, preferable the asset management industry. A person who would like to be part of our in-house Data Ware-house competence center. The position we offer Operations Solutions is responsible for in-house IT development for Nordea Asset Management and for running projects involving a high degree of both business and IT complexity. For Asset Management to be a leading European asset manager, our focus is to have a scalable, agile and market leading operational platform. As the business activity and complexity of our platform grows so do the importance of flexible and scalable integration and reporting solutions. Using the right technology and methodology is vital to our long term success. We are looking for a person that gets motived by working in close co-operation with other IT developers and business specialists in the design and build of Data Warehouse and reporting solutions. And also motivated by continuously improving both technical skills and business understanding. We have created a team with both strong IT and business competences - and had success building a fully integrated and global operational platform for Nordea Asset Management. SimCorp Dimension (SCD) is the core system component of this platform and as such integrated with many other systems and stakeholders in our value chains. Our toolbox for building integration and reporting solutions includes Oracle, Microsoft, Hadoop and SCD specific development tools. Having an efficient approach and solution for management of data is an important aspect of this platform. Asset management is a very data heavy industry with big data volumes and high complexity in data. The qualifications you need You need to have a complete working knowledge of the Microsoft BI Technology stack (SQL server, SSIS (mandatory), SSAS (mandatory), SSRS, Excel PowerPivot, PowerQuery, SharePoint, PowerBI), knowledge of Hadoop is an advantage. Furthermore, you need: - Strong knowledge of data warehouse principles, data models, architecture and technologies. - Previous experience working with a very large data warehouse environment. - In-depth knowledge and experience of both Entity Relational Models and Dimensional Models. - Solid understanding and experience in OLAP cubes (MS SSAS) design and development. - Strong understanding of ETL methodologies and proven experience in development ETL process using MS SSIS. - Strong knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques - Ability to manage competing demands of multiple, simultaneous projects. - Business and data analysis capabilities. - Knowledge of Analytics, Data Mining and statistical models i.e. R is an advantage. You understand that data not in itself has a value without a strong linkage to business knowledge, and you are looking to independently build knowledge in data as well as within the business processes they represent.
