Senior Business Analyst – Power to X

About the position

For our Offshore Innovation department, we are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a broad interest in renewable energies.
The Offshore Innovation department is a group of highly motivated and passionate specialists with focus on the challenges of securing a sustainable future for Offshore wind turbines and ensuring that Offshore wind turbines is a significant part of tomorrow’s energy mix.

What are my responsibilities in this position?

The candidate will be a strong player in developing a commercial strategy for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s considerations on future involvement in Power-to-X and identify potential new revenue streams within this field. The candidate will grow partnerships within sectors that in the long-term will have customers for Power-to-X solutions. The success criteria of the job are to form the basis for the company to develop a new market for Power-to-X in Europe and commercialize new hybrid solutions that can be combined with offshore wind farms.
As Senior Business Analyst, you will be a strong player in developing a commercial strategy for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s considerations on future involvements in new business fields. You will enable the company to form a basis to develop new markets and commercialize new solutions that can be combined with offshore wind farms.
In your role, you will

• Develop growth strategies and plans, research business opportunities and potential new revenue streams
• Write business proposals, report on achievements and required improvement areas
• Manage internal and external stakeholders
• Identify partnerships that in the long run will lead to customer relationships
• Identify and map business strengths and customer needs
• Have an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
• Keep up to date on industry trends

In addition to the above-mentioned tasks you would also be involved in: 

• Digitalization projects – Analyze how the company can create business on the digitalization currently in process.
• Prioritize the digitalization sub projects and use cases of our digitalization projects.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• You have more than 5 years of professional experience within the wind power or energy sector, a commercial background and a well-developed network within the European energy sector. 
• You have an educational background in Economics, Marketing or similar. 
• You have strong communication skills and are able to utilize a network of actors in the energy sector to facilitate the needed change to legislation and market structures to facilitate the implementation of new solutions. 
• Strong verbal as well as writing skills in English is important as we are working in an international environment where documentation and presentation material in written form is essential.
• It would in addition be an advantage to have commercial domain knowledge of Power-to-X, a thorough understanding of power market dynamics, and an overview of the key market dynamics of sectors in which Power-to-X could become relevant. 
• You are comfortable with having a broad interface to academic institutions relevant as well as Government agencies and TSO’s.  
• Your areas of interest within the green energy sector is wide, you have an interest in making specialists work closely together on creating the new energy solutions for the next generations.
• You are not tied to a specific trade and enjoy operating seamlessly within engineering sectors. Detailed knowledge on more than one area is however not expected.
• The workplace will be Brande or Vejle.
