For the Service Strategic Procurement Department, which is part of our Service Supply Chain organization in Brande in Denmark, we are looking for a strategic sourcing colleague, with ambitions to contribute to one of the world’s leading wind turbine manufactures. Reporting to a Global Commodity Manager, you will join a team of experienced colleagues within Strategic Procurement, who is responsible for handling a purchasing volume of several million Euros. In addition you will be part of an organization which is in the process of building up a new professional global strategic procurement organization covering all continents. What are my responsibilities? As a Senior Buyer you will contribute in the development as well as implementation of our global sourcing strategy within specific commodities. Your responsibility will cover implementation of a global supplier base, analysis of the existing commodity structure and in the execution of contracts as well as price negotiations. This also includes the establishment and maintenance of relationships with various existing and potential suppliers. More specifically, your responsibilities will cover: Performing global supplier market scan with focus on identifying new suppliers and technologies Implementing commodity strategies to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials Establishing cost control and cost transparency in the defined area of responsibility Preparing, conducting and assisting the Commodity Manager in negotiations of purchasing volumes to obtain highest feasible savings Participate in cross-organizational projects as the procurement representative Producing price forecasts and internal figures to supply basic data for planning and reporting What do I need to qualify for this job? You have a Bachelors degree, e.g. within Engineering or Business Administration combined with 3 years of professional experience, preferably from a technology-driven environment within the areas of strategic sourcing or supply chain management. You are experienced in supplier development and possess strong analytical skills. As a person you are ambitious, open minded and like to work independently as well as in a team. You have excellent English skills both orally and in writing, and you are an advanced user of Microsoft Excel and other commonly used IT applications. Ideally you have knowledge of SAP or other ERP-platforms. In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated. What else do I need to know?
