Senior Chartering Manager/General Manager, Tanker Division

TORM is presently looking for a Senior Chartering Manager/General Manager to join our Chartering Team located at our Copenhagen office. In cooperation with your colleagues in Copenhagen, Singapore and Houston you will be responsible for the commercial management and optimization of a portfolio of 75 tanker vessels in all our segments, Handy, MR, LR1 and LR2. The Job The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and concluding spot fixtures, COAs and short term timecharters in the Atlantic CPP market. Furthermore, your tasks will be to: • Maximize TCE earnings on the fleet • Establish and share short term market view to ensure optimal distribution of the fleet • Cooperate and share relevant market and customer knowledge with our overseas chartering offices • Work closely with TORM Technical Division in line with the ONE TORM strategy to ensure that the fleet has as many tradable days as possible • Have a proactive and direct contact with brokers and customers in your area of the market • Conduct regular and focused customer visits (expected travelling 20-30 days per year) • Ensure charter party terms are up to date and renegotiated when relevant • Do regular post fixture analysis to improve future decision making and give relevant feedback to external and internal stakeholders • Actively participate in information gathering and market forecasting • Proactively assist in collection of freight and demurrage The Challenge Our goal is to deliver record speed and error free customer service, giving us full commercial flexibility, resulting in superior earnings. Your Background In addition to a relevant shipping education you have 5 – 10 years product tanker chartering experience from a shipowner, operator or trading house. As a person, you are an ambitious self-starter with strong communication skills.
