Your work will impact the stem cell pipeline with the overall goal to develop innovative stem cell-based curative treatments for patients suffering from serious chronic conditions.

 

About the department

The position is based in the Stem Cell Process Development department in Måløv, Denmark, a unit in Stem Cell R&D. 

The department is responsible for developing and transferring robust manufacturing processes in Stem Cell R&D projects, in order to bring the growing pipeline of stem cell based therapies into clinical trials. Project management and leadership of the CMC aspects are crucial for success in all projects in the Stem Cell R&D portfolio.

We promote a global mind-set, dedication to business partnering and a focus on creating new ways of working in the emerging field of stem cell therapy. We work based on scientific facts, are dedicated to collaborative problem solving, and take active leadership for the initiatives we engage in.

The work is performed in multidisciplinary project groups in collaboration with the research and clinical development units in Stem Cell R&D as well as together with external partners. Thus, a wide interdisciplinary understanding of development processes for biopharmaceuticals is needed to support decision making and progress within this area.

 

The position

As a senior project leader, you will plan and execute CMC deliverables of stem cell projects with tight deadlines with a high focus on quality and speed. Your ability to facilitate problem solving processes, lead project teams, and provide clear communication and recommendations will be key to your success in the role. 

You will contribute to setting the stage and develop the CMC documentation package in the evolving field of stem cell based therapy. As part of this, a close interaction and alignment with health authorities is needed to secure the optimal strategy towards clinical trials and market. 

You will act as mentor for other CMC project leaders in the department, and guide them towards success. Moreover, the job will require collaboration with people of many different backgrounds, across organisational levels and geography (mainly US).

 

Qualifications

You have an MSc/PhD in Life Sciences and a strong research and project management background.

You have +5 years of project management track record preferably within drug candidate development for clinical trials. In addition, a good international network, preferably with experience from working cross-culturally or in global teams. You are highly motivated to work in a result-oriented cell therapy discovery environment, where projects are diverse and demand the need for your flexibility.

You have great interpersonal skills with a high sense of empowerment. You communicate well and convincingly at all levels of the organisation.
