Would you like to provide planning support within exploration and production of oil and natural gas? Join us as Senior Planner in our Project Support & Execution department, which is the competence centre in our business unit Exploration & Production and responsible for project portfolio delivery and project and business supporting processes and tools. The Project Support & Execution department is integrated in the Technology and Projects division which provides engineering and project management services to develop, operate and maintain our assets. Work is generally undertaken in integrated, multidisciplinary teams organised by asset and licences. The department is a part of Exploration & Production which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centred in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious growth strategy with many exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be primarily based at our location in Esbjerg, Denmark. You should, however, expect some travelling in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility As Senior Planner, you will be part of the Project Support & Execution department which focuses on leading and developing a detailed schedule across all workflows, including resources, costs and delivery targets. Your responsibilities will include all planning efforts within the Project Delivery team's scope of work, overseeing the schedules from all the project managers, monthly reporting, S-curves and project updating, ensuring that all change management regarding planning is done accordingly as well as ensuring quality checks on all schedules. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: work with multiple stakeholders as well as liaise with contractors and project team to communicate required completion dates and interfaces work closely with the project teams, including project managers, lead planners, project engineers and cost engineers lead the planning and controls function of projects and participate in cost and schedule risk analysis analyse and control costs and schedules as well as prepare, update and maintain project schedules to ensure project consistency and schedule optimisation assist the project manager/project controls manager with evaluating schedule impacts. Moreover, you coordinate schedule input from multiple contractors and incorporate the information gathered into the overall project master schedule. You also monitor and track project progress, including identifying critical activities and review forecasts with progress achieved to date. Your profile You have a master's or bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent relevant background. Moreover, you have a minimum of 8 years' experience from development projects in the oil & gas industry and a minimum of 6 years' experience as a project planner. You should have a good understanding of planning techniques and earned value management and be an experienced user of planning and project control tools, such as Primavera and MSPS. In addition to being result-oriented and able to effectively manage multiple priorities, you take a proactive, diligent, pragmatic and creative approach to resolving problems.
