In the Senior Project Manager role within Group Function IT you will be working closely with the Head of Data Engineering. The position we offer We are seeking a highly experienced project leader who will be able to take control of a number of critical project in Group Functions IT. You will be familiar with the challenges of working on regulatory & compliance programmes for a GSIB bank. Group Functions IT is responsible for the technology that is driving to make data one of the core assets in Nordea. Data is critical to our business and our customers. We harness the power of data to understand the needs of our customers, provide our customers with a true digital experience through all our contact points with them and tailor our products to best meet their needs. Data is also our primary ammunition in the fight against wrong doing and bad behaviour as it powers our defensive capability in Risk, Fraud and Financial Crime. Data Engineering are the team that are building the core Nordea data platform in collaboration with colleagues in business operations and other parts of Nordea technology. We are working to scale out the current Corporate Data Warehouse such that it becomes a general purpose platform that supports all of our business lines and help enable the Nordea simplification and digitalisation strategies. The qualifications you need We are looking for a candidate ideally with 10+ years of experience in IT Project Management, at least three years' experience managing complex global or international projects with multiple stakeholders. Important skilla and competencies: •A minimum of 2-3 years' experience managing global technical projects including work breakdown structures, risk/issue management, resource loading, project monitoring and controlling, and quality assurance. •Proven experience in working with in both Agile and Waterfall environments. Ideally certified. •You will have operated in a Business Analyst capacity in previous roles providing the key link between the internal client and IT. Experience of BA work in a large data warehouse project is ideal. •Proven ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical teams. •Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communication skills with technical, non-technical, end-user, and executive audiences. •Experienced working in a Matrix organisation. Operating collaboratively with internal cross-functional and external global teams to develop strategies that meet business goals. •Experience in relationship management to effectively manage communications, conflicts, and negotiations, identify operational issues/risks, recommend and implement strategies to resolve problems, and monitor and measure client satisfaction •Certified in at least one PM methodologies (PMP/Prince II etc) Finally, excellent written and verbal English is essential for success in this role.
