Maersk Oil, Danish Business Unit, is looking for a Senior Risk Analyst Engineer for the Esbjerg office. In the position you will mainly work with technical safety. The position is a permanent staff position. We Offer As senior risk analyst your work primarily takes place at our offices in Esbjerg where you will be part of the Facilities Department consisting of more than 100 dedicated and highly competent employees. The Facilities Department covers all risk assessments within engineering, projects and operations. The position provides ample opportunities for personal development and Maersk Oil’s international engagements may on the longer term provide opportunities for assignments outside Danish Business Unit. Key Responsibilities Main tasks would be: as part of a competent team to be a driving force in the continuous strive to be world class within Risk Assessment and related areas, perform Risk Assessment, HAZID, FME(C)A, SIL/LOPA and other HIRA tasks, evaluate major risks, workplace risks and occupational risks, collect and evaluate statistical material, have a clear understanding and ability to handle Safety Critical Elements issues, manage external studies and consultants. An important keyword for the position is Technical Excellence and the ability, on a fact based background, to provide recommendation on a variety of challenges as those faced by a mature operator. Each installation is covered by a Health and Safety Report (Safety Cases) which must be kept in accordance with legislation issued by the Danish Energy Authority. Co-operation with production, well service and maintenance departments related to each operational asset as well as interaction with vendors and with international specialists will be an important part of the position. Technical and process safety issues concerning frequency and consequences of events are assessed as part of new projects and following a Project Maturation Plan. Changes to existing facilities and issues coming up during daily operation are assessed as required by the management of change procedures. Who we are looking for We are looking for a candidate with a Master degree and 5-10 years of experience in the oil & gas or related industries who takes interest in multi-discipline tasks and has a strong focus on technical disciplines. You are analytical, disciplined and a positive communicator with an open and extrovert mind set. Furthermore, you must be able to work independently, proactively and be task-/result-oriented, often with a tense schedule and therefore with the right sense of urgency.
