Job Description

Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC), R&D and Engineering is looking for a Senior Value Engineer in Kolding or Nordborg. Your role will be to develop and maintain high technical knowledge in the discipline of Cooling and Air Conditioning to optimize the design with respect to value and cost. You will run cost-down activities, as a project, and coordinate between different functions like suppliers and Danfoss. You will align activities between simulation and rapid prototyping as well as evaluate the results and adjust the design to achieve high value of the product.

Preferably, you have solid experience in design of mechanical products with continuous focus on improving quality, cost and time to market by use of simulation, fast prototyping and platform-based development. As a person you are innovative, fact-based, quality and result-oriented, positive, open-minded and a good team player who can interact with others across borders and cultures. You can expect approximately 10-20 days of travel per year, primarily to customers and suppliers.

Background and skills
To be considered for this position, you must have a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Mechatronics or similar education combined with a technical background, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Min. 5 years of experience with design of mechanical products
• Experience with valve designs, preferably within refrigeration applications
• Knowledge about line component and valves and Filter dryer
• Experience with managing and coordinating projects
• Experience with 3D CAD and simulation
• Fluent and comprehensive in English
• SAP and PDM would be an advantage
