Join us and become Specialist in our Technology department in Business Development & Execution where you will be responsible for developing, maturing and implementing technologies and for handling household waste and turning this into sustainable energy and materials for recycling. Our ambition is to become the world’s leading supplier of technology within this field. Technology is part of Thermal Power which has 800 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We own just below half of the thermal production capacity in Denmark and are at the forefront of the development within efficient use of biomass and reduction of the environmental impact through innovative bio-refining technologies. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. As Specialist, your key duties will be to •work on optimising the value of process output fractions, such as 2 and 3D plastics and digestate fractions from biogas production •participate in cross-functional collaboration with commercial, project execution and scientific personnel •coordinate and work on a vast array of technical challenges – small and large scale •screen new technologies and evaluate potential •be responsible for finding workable solutions to specific technical problems. Your qualifications and core competences include that you •have a master's degree in a technical field, such as chemistry, biotechnology or similar •have in-depth knowledge of the subject of combustion •have extensive industry practical experience with hands-on technical problem solving •have a structured proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks •speak and write English fluently and have excellent communication skills, enabling you to present and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward way to your colleagues and stakeholders in an international environment. From previous jobs, you will be used to working within tight deadlines without losing sight of your objectives and never sacrificing quality. You are a jack-of-all-trades in the applied technological fields, having basic understanding of – and interest in – more fields than the one stated on your graduation diploma. Furthermore you have a passion for innovation, and a go-getter attitude to accompany this passion. You will have a proven track record to substantiate your accomplishments in finding and developing innovative technologies. Your job will also entail doing scouting work in the field requiring that you are comfortable with some level of international travel and fieldwork.
