Can you set direction for a well functioning team of Engineers and Technicians?

LEO Pharma has set the very ambitious goal to become the world’s preferred dermatology care partner. To make this come true, automation and related IT is an increasingly important cornerstone in our production setup – and competent technical support equally important. That is why we need you and your good combination of technical understanding and positive leadership skills. As the team is growing you can look forward to major influence on our future development in the years to come – a very exciting period in the LEO Pharma history.

Positive people management and continuous improvements

You will become leader for a very well functioning team with a can-do mentality and team spirit. Your job is to uphold this positive culture and ensure that the team gradually can take on new assignments/responsibilities as we continue our automation journey. Your focus is the production site in Ballerup, LEO Pharma’s HQ and biggest site. You will:

• Lead and inspire a team of six Engineers and Technicians – second line and GMP supporters
• Plan tasks and allocate resources – with an understanding of here-and-now incidents
• Hire and on-board new team members
• Manage the team’s budget
• Ensure continuous improvements across standards, tools and processes

To succeed, you must ensure an on-going and constructive collaboration with the production, Global IT, Global Engineering and our sister teams at the production sites in Ireland and France.

Technical education and leadership experience from a regulated industry

We are looking for a genuine people manager with a well-equipped toolbox of how to nurture development and motivation of individuals as well as a team as a unit. As part of this we are looking for a profile that can thrive in an environment where the only constant is change and ensure that the team members do as well. If you are this person, you have very good communication skills including the ability to explain “Why, How, Who and When” – and you can do it with due respect to professional and cultural differences. Your CV also comprises:

• A technical degree at minimum Bachelor’s level
• 5+ years’ experience from working in a regulated, high volume industry – pharma, food or energy
• Several years’ leadership experience – and motivation for growing your skills as people manager
• Experience from complex organisations with multiple stakeholders and agendas
• Experience with automation and manufacturing IT is a benefit but not a prerequisite

Automation and IT – your new department

You will join 12 skilled and very committed colleagues at LEO Pharma's headquarters in Ballerup. We also have a changing number of external consultants. We are responsible for the automation at the factories in Ballerup. We work with double sided focus to ensure a smoothly running production and visionary improvements of how to create the best possible setup for the future.
