Our new Technical Sales Manager will be part of the Technical Sales dept. which is a sub department of MHI Vestas Offshore Technology. The department supports Sales in communicating the technical aspects of our turbines in respect to answering tender material from Customers as well as supporting in contract negotiations. Our customers can mainly be found among large power supply companies and professional investors. Responsibilities: As a Technical Sales Manager your primary responsibility will be technical support to the Sales department. Your primary tasks will be: Ensure that technical excellence is demonstrated in all customer correspondence and submissions: RFI’s, RFP’s, ITT’s Ensure a professional interface is in place on all technical aspects of bid preparations and presentations: Mechanical, Electrical, SCADA, load, interfaces, power curves, noise curves, DRA, HSE etc Lead bid team in the technical preparation of the bid Ensure that the submission of the technical aspects of the bid is according to the quality requirements of Vestas Lead the technical track during contract negotiations Qualifications: This position covers multiple skills and interests. The successful candidate covers as many of the listed areas as possible. On a professional level you have: A technical background – technical Wind Turbine background is considered an advantage A good deal of relevant experience in technical sales projects/tendering A solid experience in project management - networking with R&D engineers across departments A background knowledge in offshore wind projects (cables, foundations, WTGs) and project interfaces is considered an advantage On a personal level you have: Assertive, self-driven motivator. Ability to cope with stress at peak workloads. Excellent project management skills Excellent communication skills - English at negotiation level : verbal and written Experience with building up relationships – direct customer responsibility Highly structured and well organized Comfortable travelling and working alone What we offer: We are a team of skilled and committed colleagues who are all enthusiastic about offshore wind energy.
