T&V - Power Conversion V&R Test and Verification department within Vestas Wind Systems A/S plays an important role towards verification of new prototype components and systems. To optimize testing we bring field conditions into our test center and expose them to functional, performance and reliability testing. Our facility are world leading within testing of turbine main components (gearbox, generator, converter, etc.) and includes 10 test-rigs with the capability to test components separately or as complete turbine systems up to 20MW. We are a team of 31 highly motivated engineers, specialists and turbine technicians who are responsible of planning, executing, trouble shooting and validating test campaigns. Furthermore our team is responsible of specifying and building up new test capabilities to continually ensure that Vestas products have the highest quality in the wind market. Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will be to: Execute tests on Gearboxes and their sub components Planning of tests in co-operation with Project managers and designers Participate in supplier qualification test of gearboxes Work close with project management and design teams to ensure execution of verification plans Participate in designing new test setups for verification of Vestas Products. Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering related to Gearboxes, bearings ect. Experience of at least 1-3 years within Large gearboxes, bearings ect. Practical and theoretical experience with analyzing data and reporting of these. Understanding of materials and their structure Knowledge in reading and understanding electrical drawings Skills in operating/ understanding wind turbines (e.g. wind, power generation, etc.) - or the willingness to gain new competencies within this area Knowledge within Microsoft office programs Competencies: Experiences in creating reports, technical presentation and reviewing technical documents Capability to lead activities and projects Think quality into the daily work Highly motivated, self-driven, open minded, effective communicator Analytical mindset Strong technical background, customer focus, teamwork and a global mindset What we offer: You will join a very homogenous department with a high focus on team development.
