We would like to hear from you. Manufacturing/Global Sourcing/Powertrain/Main Gearbox Powertrain is responsible for strategic sourcing of our Generators and Gearboxes globally. Main Gearbox covers the categories Gearbox and Gearbox Auxiliaries (Bearings, Couplings, Shrink discs, Brakes) incl. associated spare parts. We are responsible for developing the supply base short, medium & long term with a view to always be able to satisfy requirements (KPIs) re. safety, quality, delivery and cost and thereby contribute actively to improve the competitive strength of the company. Participation in cross-functional quality and development work is imperative as is development and implementation of logistic systems to support factories globally. Responsibilities: You will work within the category management team concept and implement the overall strategic sourcing goals of the business. Your main responsibilities will be: •Lead team with a Vestas holistic view, in order to secure category is at the forefront of the development •Manage the negotiation process for the category and deliver total cost of ownership supporting profitability •Manage the development and implementation of the category supply base that supports business strategies •Build supply market intelligence and ensure that supply base data is available to support business decisions •Improve and balance commercial aspects (price and volume) and technical capabilities to enable the optimization of the business on both short and long term. •Develop and maintain all relevant internal relations to stakeholders Qualifications: •You hold a relevant academic degree in Business, Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent with a high level of technical knowledge and commercial experience. •Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic global component sourcing and/or category management expertise. •Fluent in English Competencies: •Ability to multi-task, results driven, able to make strategic decisions under pressure •Upward communication skills as the position entail regular reporting to and feedback from Sr. Management. •Strong in stakeholder management and ability to cooperate with stakeholders on all levels in the organization. •Good understanding of the value chain •Financial understanding, strong negotiation and project management skills •Structured, systematic and good understanding of business processes •Good communication and presentation skills and ability to work cross functional •High level of proficiency with core procurement skills and analyses. •High level of motivation, team spirit and willpower to improve and drive things forward in the new Vestas organization. •Microsoft office tools’ skills with focus on Excel, Word and ERP. •Excellent analytical skills, combined with the ability to maintain a critical and yet simple overview from a strategic perspective.
