If you are looking for an opportunity to combine your strong knowledge and experience within mechanical loads and design verification via field measurements of the cutting edge Vestas products read on. Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Technology & Service Solutions - Turbine Validation Test Engineer - Wind turbine Mechanical Loads Testing The Turbine Validation department is part of Vestas Technology R&D .Turbine Validation is responsible for the validation of Vestas turbines and technologies. Turbine Validation covers the below areas: Power performance Noise Vibration Power quality Structural loads EMC To enhance the loads performance capability, an engineering position is open. Responsibilities: Your primary responsibility is to plan, execute and report on loads certification projects. The right candidate has the ability to span the whole process in a complex measurement process and understands the structural design of wind turbines, static and fatigue load on tower, blades and drive train etc. The tasks include the following: Data/signal analysis, reporting of the measured data from wind turbines Present and advise design owners (Platform, Chief specialists and Product Management on design evaluations) Handling contact and contracts for external test institutes Participate in development of tools platform and drive the knowledge in the area Project management and technical lead of own projects Qualifications: For this position a strong background in mechanical engineering and measurements needs to be combined with excellent analytical skills and a solution oriented approach. Further required qualifications are: A master degree e.g. in mechanical engineering - recent graduates will also be considered Computer programming skills (Matlab/Labview preferred) Experience in wind measurements, strain gauges and other sensors Preferable experience with wind fields measurements and type approvals for wind turbines, according to IEC 61400-13 standard Alternatively experience with models and simulation and comparison to measured loads on other dynamic structures Structured, trustworthy, communicative, self-motivated Fluent in English and driver’s license What we offer: We offer an exciting job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development in a highly professional environment in our R&D center.
