As a Control Engineer in Brande or Ballerup:
You will be part of an international and highly dedicated team of the best and the brightest developers. They have various personalities, competences and experiences, but shares the motivation to help power the world with clean energy. The team plays a key role in developing control functionality for the offshore turbines, which covers the design and implementation of control functionality related to power, loads and aerodynamic noise.
What are my responsibilities?
As a Control Engineer you will be working with documentation, validation, certification, troubleshooting and maintenance of our offshore turbine controller together with your colleagues. You will design turbine control solutions by taking part in all phases of the development process from requirements setting and proof of concept, to validation and certification. Moreover, you will:
Coordinate with other stakeholders such as hardware component owners and software developers.
Take part in the development and maintenance of our internal tools, documentation and procedures.
Conduct investigations and root cause analysis of control related failure modes.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
At Siemens Gamesa we want to be the leader of innovative technology and solutions. To be successful in the role, you must manage your own time effectively and be proactive within a small team of engineers, but in the meantime being capable of presenting technical ideas and concepts to a wider audience. Preferable you:
- Hold a M.Sc or Ph.D degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Have experience with control design applied in industry applications, preferably within the wind industry.
- Have extensive knowledge and experience with control design in Matlab, Simulink and is familiar with C/C++ and LaTeX.
- Are a good communicator and have excellent English skills
You will work in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment where not two days are alike. If you have some project management experience it would be an advantage.
The position is open in Brande, but depending on your situation, we also have an option to locate you in Ballerup.
