Data Scientist / Head of Analytics, Data & Analytics, Bagsværd Data & Analytics Center of Excellence is a newly established, highly prioritized focus area. You will be a part of a larger global team and develop analytical solutions, along with extracting insights from data for improving business decisions. The department leverages existing enterprise data combined with external data in order to create new actionable insights across Novozymes. We deliver best in class analytics through our Data & Analytics Center of Excellence. As a Senior Data Scientist you and your team will use your strong knowledge of data science theory, statistical modeling, and coding (e.g. Python and R) to find the most valuable insights, metrics, and results within structured and unstructured data sets. You will work on integrating data from across the organization with external data where needed. Your primary focus will be on analytics and modeling, but you are also able to dive into coding when required. You are curious and obsessed with data; and feel confident to independently work with large data sets to explore, manipulate, and visualize data to find new patterns and insights. You will play an important role as a leader in building our new Data & Analytics team and shaping the analytical framework. You will collaborate with many people from across the business to help solve problems and enlighten others with your data skills. Among other things you will work with the following; Analyzing data to evaluate existing decision frameworks and apply analytical techniques to solve business problems; Interacting with key business stakeholders to understand business problems and translate them into analytical problems and provide solutions with actionable insights; Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging methodologies to continuously improve your data analytics skill set; Contribute to knowledge sharing and improve team productivity through training/documentation of best practices. In this position you need to have: - You have a degree in Math, Computer Science, Physics, or related - 5+ years relevant experience in the field of Data Science - You are a highly skilled specialist with ambitions for more, with a promising leader talent, or you are an experienced leader within this area - Experience with data wrangling and extracting valuable, deep insights from all types of data including Big Data - Experience with building statistical, mathematical and predictive models with appropriate tools and implementation of machine learning algorithms to find the right answers to complex business questions - Experience with relational and non-relational databases and data modeling - Experience with end-user analytical and visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, SAS JMP, Qlik, Spotfire, R - Knowledge of Big Data platform technologies and / or appliances and how to integrate them into an enterprise environment Are you the next Zymer in our team?
