As a part of Vestas Technology & Service Solutions, the Generator Engineering department is globally responsible for providing technologies, competences, components and system solutions in the areas of turbine generators and affiliated products. We are responsible for product development and specification through electromagnetic, mechanical and thermal design of generators and performance specifications. Basically we are responsible for the whole value chain of our generator technologies. Currently, the department consists of highly skilled and motivated engineers situated in Denmark. Responsibilities: Your primary tasks will be development and implementation of Generators including specifications and test methods in close collaboration with colleagues, internal as well as external suppliers. Among the duties and tasks are: Make conceptual design and specification of Generators Create requirements & test specifications for Generators Participate in tests of prototypes and write test- and design verification reports Participate in design reviews Work with and developing simulation tools Provide root cause and failure mode analyses Provide technical support on generator related issues from site. Qualifications: B.S, M.Sc, Marine engineer or similar with up to 5 years’ experience Practical experience on generators is preferred but not mandatory We are looking for a candidate with a good theoretical electromechanical background preferably from specifying and design of Generators in order to ensure a fast introduction to this position. However commitment and motivation will bring you far and you should be capable of becoming an expert in this exiting field of work within a relatively short time.
