Looking to be involved in the up and coming new Vestas products? We're looking for an ambitious colleague for our highly professional test team. If you are looking for an opportunity to combine your strong knowledge and experience within power performance and design verification via field measurements of the cutting edge Vestas products read on. Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Teknology & Service Solutions - Turbine Validation Engineer - Wind turbine power performance testing The Turbine Validation department is part of Vestas Technology R&D.Turbine Validation is responsible for the validation of Vestas turbines and technologies. Turbine Validation covers the below areas: Power performance Noise Vibration Power quality Structural loads EMC To enhance the power performance capability, an engineering position is open Responsibilities: Your primary responsibility is to plan, execute and report on power performance projects. The right candidate has the ability to overview the whole process in a complex measurement process and understands the wind turbine and effects of the site and wind. The tasks includes the following: Data analysis, reporting of the measured data from wind turbines Present and advise design owners (Platform, Chief specialists and Product Management and Sales Business Units on power performance and design evaluations Handling contact and contracts for external test institutes Participate in the development of tool platforms and drive the knowledge in the area Project management of own projects Qualifications: The ideal candidate has strong compentencies in mathematics and statistics and this needs to be combined with excellent analytical skills and a solution oriented approach. Further required qualifications are: A Master or Bachelor degree e.g. in electronics or mechanical engineering - recent graduates will also be considered. Computer programming skills (Matlab/Labview preferred) Experience in wind measurements, anemometry and aerodynamics is an advantage Preferable experience with wind fields measurements and power performance Preferable experience with IEC 61400-12 standards You are structured, trustworthy, communicative and you are self-motivated Fluent in English and holds a valid drivers license What we offer: We offer an exciting job with excellent opportunities for professional and personal development in a highly professional environment in our R&D center.
