About the department You will be working in the world’s largest insulin plant in Kalundborg - Insulin Manufacturing 1 (IM1). Your new colleagues have many different backgrounds and functions, and during your internship, you will learn a lot about the complex nature of production on the largest scale. A large part of producing safe and effective pharmaceutical products, is the everyday maintenance of quality in all parts of the production processes, right down to packaging and even transport and storage. We have many systems and processes that ensure our compliance with the highest standards – and we are always working on being ready for the demands of the future. Our department deal with quality issues that may arise in the production, we analyze data from processes, equipment and products and we are responsible that action is taken, if something is not as it should be. We are good at what we do, we enjoy sharing knowledge and experience, and the tone is quite informal. The position As our new intern, you should expect to spend quite a lot of your time collecting and analysing data, and putting it to good use. You will be drawing up trend reports and participating in the optimization of the documentation flow and allocation of tasks and projects in the daily board meetings in the department. When new legislative demands are implemented, some processes and equipment need to be re-validated, to make sure the new standards are met. You will be working with line managers from various parts of the facility, providing them with the data-driven knowledge they need to optimize processes and ensure optimal compliance levels. In this way, you will become well acquainted with many different parts of our regulated production environment, and you will quickly be well on your way to become an expert on how to use data to improve and maintain quality. Requirement: Students in their second year of their master studies. Period: The internship position is a full-time position for approx. 6 months. Start date: 1st of August 2016. Qualifications We are looking for an intern who is passionate about quality in pharmaceutical production. You are currently studying on your master’s degree in Engineering, one of the Life-sciences, or the like. Prior experience from regulated production is a plus, but not a requirement - we expect you to be all about data and how it can be put to good use in daily practise. We expect candidates to be service minded, thrive in a busy environment and bring a can-do attitude. Fluency in both oral and written English, is required, and since we work databased in Novo Nordisk, so are great Excel skills. You are an outgoing person with a strong personal drive and dedication. You have professional and personal impact that is reflected in your desire to take initiative and follow through. In addition, you have a healthy sense of humour – even when the pressure is on. Finally, you must have strong work ethics and willingness to take responsibility for your own learning. Candidates who will write their master thesis from February 2017 will be preferred, as it is an option to prolong the intern period.
