As many of our crucial activities for meeting the strategy are IT-related, you now have the opportunity to carry out strategically important projects and make a real difference to the future of Grundfos. You become part of PMO & Project Execution where we are responsible for the entire IT portfolio as well as for carrying out professional project management. We are 15 dedicated project managers – 11 in Bjerringbro, Denmark, 2 in China and 2 in Hungary. The team is part of the Business Design department, connecting us to stakeholders in the Grundfos organisation. Currently, we deliver around 150 IT projects a year. You refer to Manager, Carsten Clausen. ”The team is very dedicated and the members help each other a lot. They make themselves available for sparring and are highly ambitious when it comes to developing the business via IT projects. We enjoy a great team spirit and we aim at being a high performance team both internally as well as in each and every project,” says Carsten. What is the job about? As IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects within our entire IT portfolio consisting of business projects, infrastructure projects, architecture projects and internal IS optimisation projects. As such, you are responsible for the IT enablement and often you will be working closely with a Business Project Manager, as a team. It is your responsibility to carry out the projects within the given time and budget, and you are also in charge of making sure the specific projects work exceptionally as you motivate your team towards high performance. This also entails handling potential issues and risks in the duration of the project. Moreover, you secure excellent stakeholder management in the entire organisation to make sure the IT organisation constantly comes across as a professional unit. This job requires your expertise on both an operational and a tactical level in the organisation, and it is essential to us that you provide your recommendations and adviceto the business, particularly when changing several system or modules. “We will have an introduction ready for you, and you will get a “buddy” so you can learn our systems, processes and project models. But very quickly, you will be responsible for your own projects where you can put your newly acquired knowledge to good use. Be prepared to run several projects at a time,” says Carsten. What do you need to apply? Maybe you have a degree in Engineering but most importantly, you have a Prince 2 certification. You are an experienced Project Manager, and it is a plus but not a prerequisite if you have previously worked on IT projects in a large organisation. You speak and write English fluently. “On a personal level, you have the drive to achieve. You are also a great communicator at all levels and exhibit excellent collaboration skills. It is important that you exude accountability as you are the one who makes things happen. And you keep a strong focus on the customer while motivating your team to perform at its best,” finishes Carsten.
