The job As a Maintenance Specialist you are responsible for support and maintenance of software solutions in production. You will participate in the project that develops the software solution, and subsequently becomes part of this solution’s operations team. You will work in a team that manages multiple solutions in production, where you frequently will interact with customers and solution partners. Furthermore, you will respond to incoming requests for support and incoming problem reports (participates in ITIL Request Fulfillment and Incident Management). The successful candidate will: Monitor solution health and perform diagnostics (participate in ITIL Continuous Improvement) Develop new versions of the software solution Ensure maintainability and operational fitness are built into solutions from the beginning Participate in maintenance teams as well as development team Your skills and personality You have a theoretical background, such as computer scientist, engineer or similar background with solid software engineering skills as well as solid understanding of operational practices and good understanding of the customers’ domains and needs.. It will be an advantage to have worked with Information systems and systems integration. You must be able to take on an independent role while at the same time work successfully as part of the team. You are experienced in/You will work with the following technologies and tasks: J2EE development Databaser (SQL) Logging and log analysis Exception handling Profiling, diagnostics and monitoring of IT systems Patching IT systems in production You are a natural collaborator with good communication skills.
