Junior IT Consultant for testing, quality assurance and release management

Would you like to bridge IT and business as well as structure and quality assure our software releases? Translate business requirements into high quality and well-tested software You will step into a team that is responsible for IT for our production. Here, you participate in test projects, have responsibility for quality assurance and ensuring that the over-all quality of our software is second to none. You will be based in Billund and travel approximately 20 days per year to: Create a strategy for test/release management Ensure successful releases of the systems for our production area and document it Conduct functional tests of change requests on numerous IT systems, including ensuring that automated unit test is executed and functional testing is passed Bridge IT and the business in creating functional specifications, including aligning requirements, creating requirement specifications and testing them Participate in meetings with Business and Production stakeholders to adjust expectations in terms of deliverables, timing and quality Build your skills and grow our potential You will become a valuable member in the Manufacturing Execution Solution IT team where you will support and develop our IT systems in production and collaborate closely with experienced business and IT people on a daily basis. This will give you a holistic and broad business understanding as well as a deep insight into how we mould, decorate and pack the LEGO Brick - as well as mature you for a future career as IT Consultant. The challenge in this position is to translate business talk into IT specifications, let a coding colleague create it and then test it - in a hot spot of processes, sites/locations, cultures and time zones. To facilitate this, we look more to your interest for QA, testing, versioning and release management than formal education and experience.
