Work with mechanical design in a dedicated team with technical expert knowledge As a mechanical engineer your primary tasks will include design and layout of processing plants. You will have the opportunity to specialise within selected areas depending on your ambitions and interests. The job includes a combination of practical on-site information gathering and actual design in projects ranging from the first design phases until the final installation. Additionally, you will get the opportunity to: •be part of multidisciplinary teams that develop new and innovative solutions •work with materials, corrosion and coating •design and specify static, pressure and rotating mechanical equipment (composing data sheets and specification) •design mechanical layout from installation, operation, maintenance and handling perspectives •identify design challenges through offshore surveys and revert with design solutions hereto •interact with the procurement department on tenders, technical clarification etc. Having a strong focus on training, we will assign a mentor to guide you and ensure that you acquire the right competences to solve your tasks. We will strive to ensure that the mentor matches your experience and personality, and that the mentor will be working on the same projects as you. For the first 1-2 years of your career with Ramboll, the main priority will be to gain knowledge within the various disciplines involved in mechanical engineering. This is achieved by combining training/workshops, hands-on work and courses. You are able to apply your technical knowledge from university to real-life tasks and enjoy cooperating across disciplines and teams. At the same time, you are proficient in organising and planning your tasks in order to always deliver high quality results according to schedule. To succeed in this position, you need the following competencies: •B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in mechanical engineering or B.Sc. of Technology Management and Marine Engineering •Competences in FEA programs, e.g. ANSYS or similar •Fluent in English both written and oral •Danish written and oral is an advantage, otherwise we hope you are willing to learn the language •Work experience or experience from an internship from other engineering, production or maintenance company Your new colleagues The Piping & Mechanical department in Esbjerg is mainly executing offshore Brownfield Oil & Gas projects and studies.
