Would you like to contribute to a CO2-free energy future by reducing the cost of energy from offshore wind? Join us and become Mechanical Specialist in our WTG Technical Components & Systems department, which is divided into an electrical and a mechanical team, and help us take up the challenge of solving some of today's leading-edge technology tasks. Together with your 11 other colleagues in the mechanical team, you will primarily focus on all relevant mechanical wind turbine component groups. You will be involved in several activities related to our offshore wind farms in operation. As part of your daily work, you will cooperate with many colleagues across a large organisation and other external stakeholders. WTG Technical Components & Systems is part of Wind Power, which has 1400 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. You should, however, expect some travelling in Denmark and Northern Europe in relation to your work. Areas of responsibility Together with the rest of the team, you will primarily be responsible for the mechanical engineering work related to procurement processes, including specifying and defining technical requirements as well as reviewing and approving documentation and contracts within the wind turbine mechanical area. In addition, you will define and specify technical requirements in part of the procurement phase, and you will review and approve documentation. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: perform audit of suppliers handle supplier qualification, such as first article inspections and factory acceptance tests perform inspections of components handle internal warehouse inspections to ensure storage requirements support cost-out projects. Your profile You hold a relevant bachelor or master's degree in mechanical engineering. Furthermore, you have experience within wind turbine technology. It will be an advantage if you have experience and competences within six sigma. Moreover, you have an interest in offshore wind power and experience with and know-how about relevant aspects of a large wind power project. Additionally, you are able to draw on extensive experience from a relevant position where you have been working in a large project organisation. It is important that you thrive in an international and cross-functional environment. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you have excellent communication skills and speak and write English fluently. You enjoy taking responsibility and applying your skills as a member of a cross-disciplinary team. Additionally, you have an analytical and determined approach to your work. You are able to transfer your professional knowledge to written requirements, proposed solutions and risk assessments.
