Project Management The project management department in Global IT consists of 12 skilled project managers all with several years of experience within project management. The department manages all IT-projects across Vestas and plays an important role in the business case realisation within the business. As a project manager you will be teamed up with skilled collegues and will be able to develop yourselves in various aspects of project management and have the ability to work with IT-Projects in all aspects of the business and with both Infrastructure and Business development projects. Project management in Global IT is based on Prince2 and several years ago Global IT introduced a Project Execution Model that provides processes and guidelines for exectuion of project. IT- projects are often combined with high complexity and therefore sets strong requirements to the management and leadership skills of the project manager Responsibilities: The overall responsibility of the project manager is to ensure that project scope is fulfilled within the given time-, budget- and resource frame, i.e the business case is fulfilled. This includes: Report to the Steering Committee and managing the scope, cost, time and quality in close cooperation Having the leadership role in the project as well as outside the project. Being responsible for overall planning and project execution including coordination with all project members and stakeholders Responding proactively to changes and ensure these are tracked and managed Communicating and handling stakeholders across a complex organisation Handling risk management ensuring that all obstacles ahead of the project are cleared in due time Ensuring that the project deliverables meet the quality requirements Ensuring day-to-day management across the project ensuring progress according to agreed plans Having budget responsibility for internal and external costs and forecasts Ensuring project reporting in accordance with Prince2 principles Securing project execution in compliance with processes, tools and systems Ensuring continuously optimization of the project execution including resource management Handling organizational change management related to the projects Qualifications: We are seeking a candidate with min. 5 years of experience within project managent in IT-projects delivered and implemented in organisations. It is important that the candidate can show a track record for implementation and organsational change in relation to project management. Relevant degree in Technology, Engineering or Business Administration Authorized in Prince 2 and IPMA or other relevant project management certifications Extensive IT project management experience with complex projects from an international company Excellent in stakeholder management Solid business understanding and knowledge ERP experience (preferrably SAP) Fluent in English both orally and written Experience with offshore IT development centres Stage Gate model experience Competencies: Moreover, your personality is of outmost importance.
