The Project Management department is responsible for managing a range of multidisciplinary projects related to the concept, design, development, manufacture, and testing of new WTGs. The team takes advantage of Vestas’ matrix organisation to deliver innovative products through integrated projects, drawing on a skilled multi-cultural workforce. The Project Management department is also responsible for setting and improving the standards and processes by which the projects are run. Responsibilities: The key responsibilities include: Budget, plan and execute TSS wind turbine projects and work packages Develop and implement best practice project processes Interface with value chain and customers Ensure delivery within time, quality and cost targets Support new production systems and prototype line set-up with PBUs Contribute to Project Management expertise growth Qualifications: Engineering and/or business degree Hands on Project Management Experience (minimum 5 years) Experience of WTG development would be an advantage Experience of running integrated projects using matrix management of large multi-disciplinary teams (mandatory) Exposure to computer aided design techniques (FEA, CFD, CAD) Competencies: The candidate should be: A good communicator Developed leadership skills A pro-Active team Player Willing to travel within Europe (1 week out of 4) Wind Energy expertise, management of multi-cultural teams spread over world wide locations, experience of Project Management using Gate Model and exposure to 6-Sigma and DFSS would be advantageous.
