We are looking for a project manager in Corporate Procurement with top-tier credentials to help drive business development and optimization of the external spend in Novo Nordisk globally. About the department Novo Nordisk is the global leader among companies that improve the lives of the more than 300 million people who suffer from diabetes. Novo Nordisk is growing rapidly, with an average top line growth rate of 10 percent over the last decade. Our corporate headquarter is based in Copenhagen, Denmark, but we have operations all over the world with our global hubs located in US, Switzerland, China, Japan and India. We are 130 employees in Corporate Procurement and together with the global organisation, we manage the total external spend of DKK 25 billion. We do this by building strategies and executing improvement projects to optimise the global spend related to, e.g., R&D activities, marketing services, travel, professional advisory services and IT. To do this we collaborate with senior stakeholders at Senior Vice President level and their teams across the organisation. We work fact-based, are dedicated to collaborative problem solving and take active leadership for the initiatives we are involved in. We invest significant resources in developing our employees through, e.g., coaching, frequent feedback, formal training and by giving a large responsibility to individuals who can lift it. Corporate Procurement is anchored with direct report to the CFO. The job As a Project Manager in Corporate Procurement you will drive strategic projects for the Corporate Procurement management team. You will work closely with our category managers and key stakeholders on finding business development opportunities in our global indirect external spend and to develop ambitious category strategies. A key succes criteria will be your ability to effectively manage a project and stakeholders through-out the project and to work fact-based with quantitative data while knowing when an estimate is enough. You will reach out to peer companies and suppliers to find business development opportunities, plan how to realise business opportunities and support a successful initiation of the implementation process. All aspects requires you ability to communicate effectively and clearly when collaborating with senior stakeholders across the global organisation. You will typically drive 1-2 key projects at a time often involving leading a project team of 1-3 colleagues. Qualifications You have completed a Master's Degree (in e.g., economics, business administration or supply chain management) with a top 15% GPA. You have 2-5 years of experience as either a management consultant from a top tier consultancy, or from working with strategy, business development or procurement in a leading organisation. You take leadership naturally and have high professional expectations for you and your colleagues. You have worked internationally, can communicate clearly and concise and you are comfortable giving presentations to senior management. Finally, you work fluently in English.
