Do you want to be part of the Global Procurement team in Vestas and work closely with suppliers in one of the most dynamic and innovative companies in the renewable energy sector globally? Can you lead key initiatives, drive negotiation processes and manage supplier relationships? Then you might be our new Purchaser for the Electrical team. Global Procurement > Sourcing Power Train & Nacelles > Electrical Vestas Global Procurement is overall responsible for all supply chain management activities within Vestas Wind System A/S, including Leading Cross Functional Category Teams. Furthermore negotiations, cost out initiatives, Category Strategy Development and Implementation are key areas. Quality and delivery performance, supplier relationship management, Supplier Account Management, localization projects, and consolidation of supply base are also major focus areas. The category for which the Purchaser is needed is Electrical. The responsibility within this area consists of more than 400 suppliers and manages a budget of +400 million EUR per year. Responsibilities You will form part of the team High Voltage & Options within Electrical which has the responsibilities for Transformers, Switchgears and Slip Rings. You will lead key initiatives in Global Procurement focused on supply chain optimization. Working closely with the Category Manager and key stakeholders you will: Take responsibility of various categories and suppliers within the HV & Option area, including building cost out plans and executing with suppliers. Become a dedicated part of the Category Team, working across different business units within Vestas and providing input to and implementation of the category strategies. Ensure adherence to KPI’s set by Global Procurement in regards to safety, quality, cost, delivery, innovation and sustainability. Support the global Vestas factories with specific focus on the Assembly factories in Denmark, Spain, US and China. Participate in selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting with suppliers within the category. Qualifications The right candidate can be a newly graduated with a M.Sc. in Economics & Business Administration, M.Sc. in Engineering, or a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant education or minimum 3 years of work experience within Strategic Purchasing. Additional qualifications include: You are a strong communicator and thrive in negotiating contracts on a professional level. You master English both verbally and in writing fluently. You are an experienced IT user (Microsoft Office) especially SAP, Excel, Power Point and generally an easy learner when it comes to ERP systems, data analysis etc. Competencies You have a strong minded personality in combination with an exceptional drive. You are reluctant to accept status quo, and are motivated by participating in setting the agenda. You are result-orientated, ambitious, persistent and strong in driving improvements. You are a team player with excellent navigation and collaboration skills both internally and externally. You are dynamic and proactive - seeking new tasks and challenges on your own initiative. You are strong and efficient in task and project execution and always proactively in seeking solutions to the challenges that you meet. You have an open mind and a positive attitude, but also able to take the lead and make a special effort.
