Join us and become a Senior Financial Controller in our Finance department in Exploration & Production, where you join a team of highly skilled and talented people in an international environment, and where you will get early empowerment and responsibilities. The department is a part of Exploration & Production, which has 700 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. We explore for and produce oil and natural gas. Today, our activities are centered in the seas off Denmark, Norway and the United Kingdom, and we have an ambitious strategy with exciting projects in the pipeline. You will be based at our office in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. However, you should expect some travelling in relation with your work. Areas of responsibility The department acts both as a Group function as well as a subsidiary and the primary tasks are controlling of financial reporting from subsidiaries, reporting and controlling of Group reporting and maintaining and developing accounting principles. Furthermore, your key duties will be to: •optimise and maintain the internal control system •assist in various tax assignments •perform various ad hoc tasks •external reporting of financial statements. Your profile We expect that you have a master’s degree in accounting or similar, preferably with some years’ experience from an international company or auditing. You have worked with disciplines such as controlling, financial management and optimisation of processes and internal controls, and preferably have knowledge of IFRS. You have a structured approach and are able to plan and carry out tasks independently. You know the importance of being self-motivated with regard to gathering information, and can navigate in an informal environment while still being able to communicate at all management levels. You are detail-oriented, analytical and can communicate results at a general level. In addition to being a team player, you are committed, proactive and highly focused on quality. Moreover, you are able to work both independently and in a team. As we operate in an international environment, it is essential that you speak and write English fluently.
