A team member able to drive the logistics area in the factory as well as providing input and help in other functions Vestas Manufacturing - Vestas Assembly - Vestas Nacelles & Hub Factory, Ringkøbing Vestas Nacelles & Hub Factory Ringkøbing is responsible for assembling the 3MW platform. The factory is running a two shift operation with approximately 450 employees. The factory is mainly delivering to the European market both onshore and offshore. Responsibilities: As a Senior Logistics Manager in the factory you will be responsible for all procurement, planning and warehouse activities. You will be managing the Logistics function that consists of 64 employees in total. The function consists of Operational Buying, Planning and Warehouse. You'll be managing the day to day operation of the department together with the team leads and foremen. Your primary responsibility will be to keep the production running by securing continuous flow of materials inbound and outbound. This will be your primary success criteria. To make that happen a close teamwork, communication/dialogue, professionalism and a solid sense of the operational aspects of the production is key. You provide the logistics team with leadership, guidance and development of competencies. It's your responsibility that we have a high performing team delivering according to the agreed targets. As a Senior Logistics Manager in the factory you will be responsible for all procurement, planning and warehouse activities. You are responsible for implementing lean supply chain solutions in close corporation with Vestas Global Sourcing and our suppliers. Furthermore you will be a key driver in the factory's strategy deployment. You will be part of a strong management team that works closely together on all aspects of the daily operations as well as on the development and roll out of the strategy. You will refer directly to the Vice President of the Factory. Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor or a Master degree as Production Engineer, Cand. Merc or similar. You have at least 3-5 years of experience from a similar role in a manufacturing environment. You value, and are motivated by the operational aspects of the role as well as the more strategic aspects in the development of the Logistics setup. You have a very flexible and responsible mindset and you demonstrate true leadership and collaborative skills when problems are encountered in the supply chain. Our production must never come to a standstill because of missing materials.
