•Research Scientist •Denmark - Måløv Department of Pharmacodynamics in Autoimmune Disease Research at Novo Nordisk A/S is seeking a customer-focused senior scientist with experience in human pharmacodynamic assay development and the ambition to develop tomorrow’s new innovative bio-pharmaceutical drugs. About the department Department of Pharmacodynamics is part of the Autoimmune Disease Research Area in Biopharmaceutical Research Unit at Novo Nordisk devoted to the development of biopharmaceutical therapies for Autoimmune Diseases. This newly formed department is responsible for development and qualification of pharmacodynamic biomarker assays for use in clinical and non-clinical studies to meet the demands from a growing project portfolio. The job You will be part of a dedicated and highly motivated team with strong expertise in primary cellular assays, FACS and other immunoassays to allow development and qualification of assays to determine pharmacodynamic responses to drugs. You will participate in research activities in an interdisciplinary environment including pharmacology, bioanalysis and clinical development across the Biopharmaceutical Research Unit in Denmark as well as internationally, with good opportunities for professional and personal development. Your main responsibility will be to plan, perform and report studies aimed to develop pharmacodynamic biomarker assays intended for clinical and non-clinical use. You will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of 1-3 technicians or students. The interactions with your key stakeholders within the department and in other departments will also be an important part of your daily work. Qualifications You have practical experience with pharmacodynamic assay development and assay validation/qualification for clinical application. Furthermore, you should have experience with human whole blood assays, multicolor flow cytometry and experience with immunoassay development and qualification on Luminex, MSD, Gyrolab or equivalent platforms. You should be qualified at the PhD level with more than 5 years post-degree experience and a proven record within the pharma or biotech industry. Excellent communication skills and an ability to plan and coordinate activities independently are required. At the same time your personal qualifications should include the ability to work in a team, to be flexible and to deliver according to agreed timelines.
