Vestas Offshore A/S, Manufacturing, Sourcing Operating as one of the business units at Vestas Wind Systems A/S, soon to be a standalone Joint Venture company with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Vestas Offshore A/S focuses exclusively on selling, constructing and operating wind power plants at sea. With offices based in Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom we are responsible for Vestas’ involvement of offshore wind power plants worldwide. Sourcing is a part of Manufacturing and will be responsible for sourcing all components and surrounding features to drive an offshore business - i.e. Vessels and ships. Responsibilities: Your responsibilities as a Strategic Purchaser will be to: Create PO’s in SAP for direct and indirect purchases for JV Maintain supplier database in SAP in order to create PO’s interface with sourcing to gain any data needed for SAP Ensure suppliers are delivering to scheduled date on PO’s. Raise any on time delivery issues to sourcing and to greater team. Ensure receipts and payments are made in time. Participate in supplier scoring and ranking. Qualifications: Relevant educational background with an academic degree in purchasing or business and minimum three years of experience with the tasks mentioned above Professional written and verbal communication in English and preferably Danish Ability to cultivate strong collaborative working relationships and contacts within work group, across other company functions and with external parties. Some experience in negotiations Supplier Management experience Some experience in business related matters and possibly with legal matters Computer skills must be advanced in PPT, Excel, and Word Broad knowledge of manufacturing operations Competencies: You drive for results and you are motivated for developing personal skill set. You are a strong team player and you’re not afraid to challenge the status quo. Furthermore you are: Data driven, systematic and structured in your approach to challenges A team player with a proactive mindset Have the ability to go to suppliers and drive recovery of shipments if needed.
