We are looking for an experienced and people oriented Team Lead with a technical background to drive our Design Construction team based in Brande. The team consists of approximately 12 people and is part of the Logistics Equipment Development department that develops all equipment required for transporting, installing and servicing wind turbines worldwide. The department is deeply involved throughout the full value chain, in designing new outbound equipment for the complete Siemens Wind Power turbine portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that 3D and 2D drawings are created and adequate documentation is maintained by the team in close corporation with other departments internally. Furthermore it is your responsibility to incorporate external service suppliers to ensure designs are delivered on time and to required standards. What are my responsibilities? • Managing a competent team of approximately 12 people – all with a technical background and very dedicated to their work • Contribute to all equipment development projects in the department by ensuring: o 3D and 2D drawings for new developed solutions, and maintaining documentation for all existing equipment o CAD resource availability for development projects • Support the overall development and realization of the strategy of the department together with the other team leads in the department and the Head of Equipment Development What do I need to qualify for this job? • Strong analytical skills acquired through a degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical degree • We expect you to have 3-5 years of experience of people management in an engineering driven matrix organisation • You are a strong team player with a result-oriented mindset and are capable of managing and motivating the members of your team. • Experience with transportation, lifting and structural design of various machinery and production equipment • You are familiar with 2D, 3D, CAD and project management • Preferably, you have experience as project participant in an large international organisation • As a person you are independent and have a strong desire to work in a challenging technically demanding work environment • You thrive in a multicultural environment and possess excellent communication and English skills, both orally and in writing In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
