In this specialist role, no two days are the same and you get to travel 75+ days per year. Detailed Description Contribute to setting new standards around the world In the role as our new application engineer, you will design, engineer, inspect, test, and commission FLSmidth's automation systems, ensuring that they run smoothly. After installation on site, you make sure the systems perform to meet technical requirements and promised guarantees from remote access at our office in Copenhagen. You perform troubleshooting, provide feedback and report on quality issues, in this way contributing to setting new and higher standards for our equipment. You will use analytical techniques such as XRF, XRD, PGNAA as well as sampling, sample preparation and particle sizing. You will also assist our Sales Department in preparing proposals by advising on technical issues and recommending solutions based on the customer’s equipment and requirements. You will step into an independent role, but you will always be in close contact with your 12 highly skilled colleagues. Furthermore, we will be sure to provide continuous training and education to help you become a specialist within your field of knowledge. Job Requirements Engineer with chemical knowledge and good communication skills · You hold a relevant Master’s degree in Engineering, possibly Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Geology. · You are able to combine software, equipment, and analysis to control a process. · You are excited about integrated solutions and systems, and you want to know processes in depth. · You have good communication skills, enabling you to build strong networks and relations with both colleagues and customers. · If you also have an understanding of chemical analysis and automation, it is an advantage. Personally, you enjoy working in a cooperative and helpful environment with people from all around the world. Being curious by nature, you work well across disciplinary and cultural boundaries, while paying high attention to detail and approaching your tasks systematically. Even when things are not as expected, you are able to keep an overview and prioritise the tasks of your team and yourself. Finally, this is a position where you get to work in depth, so you want to continuously develop your area of expertise, and you take great pride in completing specialist tasks on time and to the customer’s satisfaction.
