About the department In DFP Analytical Support we are 70 colleagues organised in 3 teams and has a central support function worldwide in analysing diabetes products. All teams have different responsibilities and you would be heading up Modern Insulin Analysis team which to includes 1 specialist, 6 academics and 15 technicians The job You will have the responsibility for the performance of the team and for ensuring the correct prioritization between the team’s numerous tasks. You need to ensure that the team has the right resources and competences at hand at all times and support your team in both personal and professional development. You will focus on creating a work environment that fosters job enthusiasm, and you encourage and facilitate professional discussions. Furthermore, you will seek to establish good collaboration with your stakeholders and participate in cross-organisational projects. Your leadership supports a LEAN culture where continuous improvement is a natural part of everyday work. Lastly, you will report to the Director of DFP Analytical Support and be a member of the management team consisting of the Director, 3 Team Leaders and one secretary. Qualifications You have an academic degree within a relevant field of expertise and you are a passionate people manager with strong analytical skills. Ideally you have 3-5 years of management experience in a laboratory environment and proven strong leadership with ability to inspire and motivate others and empower your team members to deliver excellent results. You have a strong lean mind-set, an ability to facilitate complicated problem solving and to find the right root causes. Additionally, you are well organised and you approach challenges in a logical manner. You have also keen on finding practical solutions and executing the necessary actions to secure progress. You have the ability to prioritise and plan ahead, while keeping focus in achieving the goals.
