Working closely with the business Business Controlling, consisting of nine employees, is part of the corporate finance function based at our headquarter in Smørum. Business Controlling is responsible for the overall financial performance management for the group. The team is dedicated to continuously strengthening its profile, in order to act as a trustworthy and valued partner towards the business. As a Business Controller, you will work closely towards our business area Retail. This include developing and ensuring correct reporting and business relevant analysis. In this particular business area, we have recently launched a new planning model and new management principles within planning. The Business Controller is a key participant in this process, and is expected to take a strong role managing this. Further, you participate in the tasks and responsibilities within Business controlling in general such as: Reporting, financial analysis and support to business area management and Group Management Active participation in general development and maintenance of Business controlling analysis tools and finance models. Active participation on the group planning process in general Participation in cross functional activities and projects As the William Demant Group is a dynamic corporation, it is also in a state of constant change. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to develop the business controller role and of course yourself. Experienced Business Controller with good interpersonal skills The ideal Candidate holds a Master degree within Finance, has flair for IT tools preferably combined with experience from a similar position as a business controller or business finance analyst. It will be an advantage to have experience within one or more of the following disciplines: Financial management in Retail business, beyond budgeting, knowledge or ERP systems and other finance-/planning tools. As a person you are ambitious and thrive on being close to where the business critical decisions are taken. You have strong financial skills and have the ability to understand complexity and create overview of these. It is important that you have an extrovert personality in the sense that you proactively like to interact as a business partner that gets involved in the business. Your communication skills are above average and you are proactive and productive in your work. Also you are a structured personality and have an analytical approach to your work. You will become part of a strong team and it is important that you are a team player that is good at building relationships in the organization, yet you also thrive on working independently. As a person you find it a positive part of the job that you are sometimes challenged by very high complexity and expectations, while also at other times handle a number of routine tasks as part of your job.
